There have been a few things that I've been thinking about that are making me especially happy right now.
*Music: This isn't anything new to anyone who knows me, but music is a constant source of relief, happiness, and contentment for me. Right now I am really loving the EP Love Matters by local band, VanLadyLove. Alibi and Neverland are my two faves. The other musical crush I've got is on Mr. Sam Smith. He's still relatively unknown in the US, but not for long. He's AMAZING. If you need anymore convincing, Buzzfeed has all the proof you need:

*Sodalicious: My weekly Sodalicious recommendation is a gem of a beverage. It's called an "Amen." It'll make you say that, too. It's Dr. Pepper, almond, and cherry. If you get it extra dirty, you get half'n'half, which only makes it better. You won't regret this drink, I promise.
*These pictures are from Velour's Battle of the Bands about a week ago. My good friend, Claire Grayson, had a band that performed and just made me grin from start to finish. I'm so so proud of her and even more proud to consider her a friend.
* The wedding finally happened! Brogan was married on June 14, and it was a beautiful day. Like a super long day, but so wonderful. The bottom picture is my favorite one from that day. It perfectly sums up our apartment, in a strange sort of way.
* It was our friend Alex's 22nd birthday this week, so naturally we partied. 'Twas a night of s'mores, roasted starbursts, and Muppet Treasure Island.
* In honor of Father's Day this last week, I dug this picture up. If you ignore my demonic red eyes, this picture is adorable. So grateful for my papa. He has had a huge impact on the person I have become, and I couldn't be more grateful for that.
*New Restaurant Alert: In Provo, a new Mexican/South American restaurant has arrived. Mamacita's is delicious, we went for free food at their grand opening. We will definitely be heading back. I'd go back simply for some chips and guac. They gots some good guac there.
*The wedding gift for Brogan and Brannen was a success I would say. We did an at-home Sodalicious kit for our favorite newlyweds. We were so excited to do something that was kinda different, but still cute and personal. :)
*This picture is the epitome of my life. Always so much taller. Why. Why must women all lean and lurch when taking a group photo?? BANE OF MY EXISTENCE.
* And I proudly present to you...the Ice Cream Empire State Building. Sunday night ice-cream sculpting was the reason for this, so you're welcome.
Till next week, BK
