Happy Half-Off Chocolate Day! Or happy President's Day! Any way you choose to look at it, there's something happy about today. Wow. That just got so cheesy so quickly. Sorry. Moving on.
Valentine's Day was this weekend, and while it was only a little bit depressing to be on social media for the entirety of the weekend, it was a good time. A weekend that I was able to use for showing love and and to see others doing the same. I have always loved the idea that Valentine's Day wasn't a day for you to receive all sorts of candy and stuffed animals, but to show the people you love that you really do love them. And heaven knows the would could use a few more days like that in a year. I have been feeling so oddly sentimental and emotional in the last couple weeks, so I have thought about a lot of things that I really just love. So, without further ado, here are this year's valentines:
1. My family: This is probably the most cliche thing to ever be blogged about, but whatever. It's fine. We're dealing with it. I think my parents have a superpower that allows them to know exactly when to call because they know I could just really use a chat with them. Happens allll the time. Also, I have the best siblings. Sometimes I feel like my heart can't handle how proud of them I am or how much I love them. Is that weird? I mean, I never claimed to be normal, so there.

2. School: Okay, I'm in college, so I am culturally obligated to use the phrase "I hate school" frequently. But, even though it's really hard and I am ready to be done (I think), it is seriously such a blessing. I look back on my journey to BYU and I still am a little bit in shock that I am here. I firmly believe that someone was very divinely inspired when reading my entrance essays and found a way to let me be here. I cannot wait for the day when I can proudly sport a "BYU Alumni" license plate cover. Oh yeah, I'm gonna be THAT graduate.

3. People: Okay so a little fun fact about Brooklyn here. I love people really easily. I spend like 20 minutes with someone and pretty much every time, I will leave thinking "I just love them." I say the phrase, "love you" probably at least 10 times a day. And as of late, my people are just really pulling through for me. There are still annoying people out there and those that inadvertently try to derail my happiness, but overall, people are splendid. And funny. And thoughtful and creative and talented and I am just proud to call them mine. Not in a possessive way of course, but you know what I mean, right?

4. Cozy socks: this needs no explanation
5. Chocolate covered strawberries: #1 best Valentine's treat. Hands down.
6. New Music Tuesdays
7. Beyonce valentines: I went there this year. They might be some of my best creations to date.
8. This unseasonably warm weather has been a nice change. The Idaho in me is insanely worried, but I'm trying to control that and enjoy the sunshine that is pervading Provo as of late. :) And with that, my list is complete. Have a lovely week!! :)

love, BK
