Hello. Long time no see, amirite? Sorry to keep everyone in suspense over what's been happening in my life. :) Anywho, life has been nuts, hence the lack of posting every week. But it's going to get better. Most of the craziness I suspected for this summer has come and gone, and now I'm just in it for the long, sweaty haul.
We have officially reached summertime in Provo. My apartment is a constant, stuffy prison, but this is what I was begging for around January. So, I will survive this with a smile and a constant sheen of sweat upon my face.
Amidst the craziness of life, there have been so many things that have been making me happy and helping me to realize how blessed and lucky I am to be where I'm at right now.
*Work friends: Down in the dungeon of the BYU store, there lies the Pack'nShip. It's where I've spent the most time so far this summer, and its been just a gem. I work with the coolest people, in the coolest department, so there is rarely a dull moment. It was discussed a few days ago the fact that as coworkers, we spend more time together in a week than most COUPLES. It gets real down here, and I love it.
*World Cup: Alright, I am no soccer/football expert. I know the absolute basics--goals are good, injuries apparently happen to these athletes as often as the Lakers get injured in any given game, and the players are all just hot. But, its been really cool to see campus unite for this year's World Cup. Jerseys are aplenty, every TV on campus has a small contingent gathered around during each match, and the wins and losses are celebrated and mourned not individually, but as a group.
*Diet Cherry Coke: Oh dear. This is my new favorite. I'm obsessed. While I was home for the Fourth of July, 12-packs of soda were on sale, so naturally I got to bring two back with me to Provo. The number of times in a day where I felt I could use one of those things has been getting out of hand. But it's under control now. :)
*Welcome-Homes: On Tuesday, July 8, my best friend, Kelynn Williams returned home from her mission! Her time in Philadelphia absolutely flew by, and I am actually counting down the days until I get to see her in Idaho!
*Claire: I've blogged about my sistah friend Claire before, but I just really need to brag for a second. She's my girl, and last night she opened for ANDY GRAMMER in Denver! Three Hundred Something is a song that literally brings tears to my eyes everytime I listen to it. She's a gem, and I can't wait to say that I knew her before the world did. :)
