Week 2// All the Happiness

In the week that I have had this blog, I have spent a lot of time thinking about what makes me happy. This life is so wonderful in that the smallest things can bring about loads of happiness. Without further ado, here's what made me happy this week:
*Fresh Cut Grass-With summer finally here (aka swoobs season), the smell of freshly mowed grass is one that is nearly permanent. I love it. For most of my life that has been a comforting scent, one that holds the promise of good times.
*Weddings-Now for a lot of people, weddings are a polarizing topic. You either love 'em or you hate 'em. As for me, I'm just glad I'm not planning one. Yikes. But the feeling of love and happiness are practically visible in Provo right now, because when the snow melts, engagements start poppin' up like daisies!
*Reading-As a kid/teenager/young adult, reading has been my escape. There are few things that can compare to the feeling of getting caught up in a good book. There's something about reading a physical book that just cannot be beaten.
*The Walking Dead-Yep, I'm late to the party on this one. I know. But I am completely hooked. I started Season 3 yesterday, and with all the free time I currently have on my hands, me and my Netflix app are going to get REEAAALLL close. :)
*Quotes-I am just a sucker for a good quotable saying. Pinterest is an absolute GOLD mine for these things, so I thought I'd include a couple of my favorite finds this week.

*Ice Cream-Does this even need explanation? During summer, ice cream is a necessity, so Cold Stone is my jam right now. Especially when it involves chocolate cake batter and oreo cream ice cream. Delicious.

*This Picture. No words necessary. :)

*Flowers-Oh my heavens I love a good floral arrangement. It's not something I could ever possibly do, so when I see a good one, I just stare and stare. This was the one that Brogan used for her bridal pictures this last weekend. SO. PRETTY.

*Stop the Cute-This is my cousin Reagan and her best friend, Grayson. Unintentionally matching and my tears are so real right now.

I have a firm belief in the idea that life is too short to go through it unhappy. Part of why I started this blog was to help myself to remember that and keep it as my personal philosophy. While many other things have made me happy this week, for length's sake I'm just gonna stop here.

Till next week,
BK.
