A Beginning and an End

Well, here I am. I am still alive, although my blog might indicate otherwise. Public relations is definitely the major for me, but it is quite time-consuming. My life has been an endless management of group project meetings for the last few weeks. But alas, the end is near. The end of my first official semester in the major. The end of the hardest semester I have faced thus far. The end of the most rewarding semester thus far. The end of my junior year. Which can only mean one thing.
This is also the beginning of my senior year. The beginning of my professional career, meaning internships and the searching thereof will become my life. The beginning of summer (hallelujah!). The beginning of my favorite time of year. The time of cool nights after hot days. I begin to live in my swimsuit and the freckle situation becomes even more pronounced. I'm convinced that in heaven it's basically just like May-September on eternal repeat.
Life is good. Life is hard. Sometimes I feel like I should have left all my angst in my teen years, but it somehow rears its ugly head into my life frequently. Especially when life is stressful. But alas, even though I'm not quite finished yet, I can already feel my angst levels decreasing. So, here's to a summer full of painting, reading, swimming, smiling, living, loving, resting, working, laughing and burning. Because let's be real here, wouldn't be summer without a burn or two. #strugglecity
Anywho, here's some pics from the ole camera roll, because I haven't shared in approximately a century.
When I got to go home for General Conference, I had to stop at good ole Rupe's Burgers. Of all the flavors the BYU Creamery has masterminded, they still haven't found a replacement for the root beer soft-serve of this place. It's a Blackfoot classic.
I was headed home and feeling my look, can I live? :)

A) These pictures are super awkward. B) I think my siblings are the cutest humans.
I got really sick while I was home, and at the end of a week of endless coughing, sniffling and general suckiness, donuts and Sodalicious saved me.
Oh hey Kneader's french toast. Nice to see you too.
I'm just really happy that these two were needing a pit stop on their way back to Blackfoot. Thank heavens for these ladies. Missions and college may come between us, but when you're practically sisters, all that don't mean a thing. :)

Here's to having your best day. If it isn't, listen to this song. It'll help, I promise.

till next time, BK
