Week 13//The Weekend of Me

Hello! You guys, life is so good. I have had such an amazing weekend after a crazy week. This weekend Johnnie was out of town so it was sort of like I had my apartment to myself. I like being social and going out and doing things with people, but I also REALLY like not getting out and doing things with people. This weekend was free of social engagements and it was beautiful. So much needed. I got so much done as far as school is concerned, I cleaned my apartment, and watched a hefty amount of The Walking Dead. This week is setting itself up to be nearly as crazy as the last, but the payoff will be great, because I'M GOING HOME. Hallelujah, praise the Lord. I need to be in Blackfoot with my family like I need to breathe.
All of that being said, I have had some happy things that have broken up the crazy quite well lately, and obviously I took pictures:

*Just call me Ginny: So this is the biggest thing that's come about in the last little while. I am embracing my freckles and gone full ginger. I am OBSESSED with it. For the first few days it was a major shock, but now it's settled in and I am loving it.

*So this is my bestie Eliza. We work together at the P&S, and this semester has made it so we literally NEVER work together. We are both major Sodalushes, so sometimes we just go to Sodalicious and gotta catch up. It's great.

*Last Friday was one of the craziest days of my entire life. I had the interview for my program application, work, a football game, the whole she-bang. Bright spot: seeing miss Kelynn for a few seconds in Provo, thank heavens for mission reunions in Utah County!

*BYU played Utah State on October 3. It was a tough game to watch, mostly because Taysom Hill got taken out, but I still had so much fun. This was a game that made me realize how much of a Cougar fan I am. It's not easy to stay till the end when your team loses, but I had to do it. I just couldn't make myself leave. Also, Brogan and I got put on the Jumbo-tron before the game started...awkward. We were on there for at least 10 seconds longer than comfortable. We were also the only ones on camera, since the stadium was still fairly empty and not many people were sitting around us. Oh good times, they never end!

*No big deal, I made the prettiest peanut butter cookies Provo has ever seen. I also ate WAY more of them than I should have. Sorry not sorry bout it.
*My Friday mornings begin a lot earlier than others, and this past Friday I was just realizing how beautiful my world is. Provo is real pretty in the early morning hours, as is the new Life Sciences Building. So grateful for my campus.

*Feelin' classy and sassy with my girl Cassidy and our blazers.

*I felt so proud of myself last night because I made those meatballs and potatoes. This is a big deal, because me and raw meat do NOT get along well. Making those meatballs was nearly the death of me (or so it felt at the time), but I did it because I was so hungry. And it was so worth it. They were dang delicious!

*Also in the last week, I have just had an increased appreciation for people who are just always themselves. I love being around someone who has embraced who they are, and they just are what they are. It's definitely something that I try to work on, because I love myself, and that's the person I want people to know. I find the cliche "be yourself, everyone's already taken" to be completely fitting for how I try to live my life, and when people around me do too, life becomes infinitely more beautiful.

till next time, BK

  1. So much positivity! I love it.

Also, isn't Walking Dead the best show ever?!
