Week 7//"Completely and Perfectly and Incandescently Happy"

Holy moly. This post is going to be a doozy. I have been MIA for a couple of weeks (sorry), but it's been so worth it. Life has been really beautiful lately guys. And here's where the pictures are going to begin:

*Birthday: So I turned 20 on the 26th of July, and it was the best birthday I have had in years. Johnnie and I decided to do a joint birthday party since she had a birthday shortly after mine. We decided to do a Flashback Friday party and go full 90s. SO MUCH FUN. We ate so much candy, did all the M.A.S.H., made cootie catchers, and enjoyed all the musical pleasures our childhoods had to offer. Honestly one of the best nights of my life.

*For my actual birthday, we went to Salt Lake and enjoyed the musical stylings of Train. They were doing a free concert for the Days of 47 celebration. It was such a good day. Truly a birthday to be remembered.

*Davison Reunion: This series of pictures is probably the biggest reason for my recent happiness. My dad's side of the family all made the trek to Idaho from Canada and it was such a wonderful time. We don't get to see these relatives as much, so I always forget how crazy(awesome) they are ;).

 Mesa Falls selfie...Holler!

If that isn't the most beautiful s'more I ever did see...

*Quotes: I found these quotes on Pinterest today and was just really struck by the timeliness and impact of each of them. I just really love a good quote.

*This: You might be thinking, "wow, that picture just looks like a hot mess". Well, honestly, it is. The four of these girls are four of my best friends in the entire world. Missions and marriage can't keep us apart for too long! Come April we will be fully reunited with Elise returning from her mission, and I am just too stoked. These girls are somehow the coolest and also weirdest people I know. Many a football game, McFlurry run, late night trampoline sesh, and epic paint fight has been shared with these guys. I LOVE THEM.

I have so many reasons to be happy at a time when the pressure of school and life in general is picking up. A few things that make me happy that don't have a nifty photo to accompany them are:
*Sodalicious: my recommendation this week is a gem. It's called the Southern Gentleman. It's Dr. Pepper, peach and vanilla. It's freakin' good.
*Music: 5 Seconds of Summer released their debut album last week, and I love it. I'm really liking Mrs All American, Never Be and 18. Also a favorite right now is Happy Little Pill by Troye Sivan. SO GOOD. Final recommendation: Say Yes by Michelle Williams. Michelle is a former member of Destiny's Child, and her fellow group members (AKA QUEEN BEY HERSELF and Kelly Rowland) contribute to the vocals of this pop/spiritual. I joke(?) that I want this to be my prelude for Relief Society, but for some reason I don't know how well that would go down. :)
Till next time,
BK
